Heart of a Punk Soul of a Rasta

After years of refusals, cancellations, postponements, rearrangements, deferments and replacements the sad old music punter like me has gotten used to getting the shitty end of the stick. First off there was The Clash cancelling the Kidderminster Town Hall gig on the White Riot Tour in '77 (cos Mick had a poorly hand); then the Jam the Damned and Costello rearranging gigs at the drop of a hat because Top of the Pops had called; there were the brace of festivals on the bleedin continent in the early eighties when the money changed hands but the bands never showed; and recently there's been Pedro and the Shamberleros early shenanigans and the White Stripes cancelling their LAST tour and Morrissey - well don't get me started with Morrissey. Shit happens when you're a punter and you just have to develop skin as thick as a rhinos elbow. Do Rhino's have elbows? Apparently yes. Anyway I find nowadays that the anticipation of the act is often better than the act itself - so delay if you must Manics, but not forever. New date is 14th of December.
