JUNE saw the end of SUPERGRASS (after many decent nights in the past). But I didn't make it to any of the final SUPERGRASS gigs in June. My last glimpse of SUPERGRASS will have to be Birmingham 11th April 2008 - or will it?


CAST are back though, doin' several shows in the UK come November. And I for one think it can only be a good thing. I could say it's the FINE TIME for CAST to come back but........no that's too awful........shit I've made myself feel sick.


I didn't go to see The La's when they reunited in 2005. I don't know why. My legs just wouldn't take me there. I don't remember now whether it was a festival thing or something else. But when Mr Lee Mavers popped up at Birmingham Academy with Peter Doherty last year and did "There She Goes" and "Doldrums" 18 years after seeing The La's there (when it was the Hummingbird). I had to ask myself the question again - why didn't I go and see The La's back in 2005!

That ain't going to happen with CAST, so bring it on:
