The Aristocracy Continues……………………………………

Now in the past we've never mixed politics with music in this FANZINE (not many). But now four weeks have past we thought it only fair to ask what has the New Aristocracy done for us?

Please note: just in case you were out of the room when last I spoke and you still believe this country is under the ownership of a Coalition between the BLUE & YELLOW parties. This is bollo! We have an Aristocracy in this country ruled over by a Cabinet that are: 99% male, 99% white, 99% privately educated, 99% Upper class (whatever that means), 80% millionaires and 100% unrepresentative. Read on.

Well to be honest there's been nothing for us comrades other than the promise of pain today and since jam tomorrow has been cancelled more pain tomorrow as well.

There has been one casualty though. The Aristocrat David Laws has had to stand down. Sob sob. You know David Laws the careerist politician guy who was in the YELLOW party and was Chief Secretary to the Treasury in the New Aristocracy for 32 seconds.

Laws would have been joined the BLUE party from the start but he couldn't cos he was gay. You see conviction wise Laws was right of Attila The Hun but unfortunately for him Attila was quite keen on gay bashing and something called Clause 28. This prevented David Laws from joining the Tories even though he didn't want everyone to know he was gay. Eh? Well not Mater and Pater anyway. Wait a minute though, single middle aged bloke, living with a bloke and joining the Liberal Democrats. How many hints did they need? Did he need to be constantly whistling "Meet me in St Louis" or something? Anyway with all this duplicity, lack of conviction, deception and self deception, you can see it's really quite difficult being an Aristocrat.

But this terrible situation could have been sorted out long ago. David Laws was 13 years old back in 1978. If only he'd gone out and bought a copy of TRB's "Rising Free" EP. Then sloped off to his bedroom and played Track 2 very loudly for the whole time he was off from boarding school. This whole silly affair could have been averted. Apparently they still don't teach "honesty is the best policy" at schools for the Aristocracy.

Before becoming a politico David Laws was Investment Banker like his Pater; that's Banker with a capital "W" obviously. But wait a minute wasn't it those Investment Wankers who got us into our economic problems? Yep! And we were going to have an ex Investment Banker trying to get us out of the mess? Right again! There is a punchline coming isn't there? Nope! A case of poacher turned game keeper then or money grubber turned power grubber.

So its bye bye Mr Laws there'll be no power for you today. But at least the dullard media dubbed you a "highly acclaimed politician". Well you can't blame a dick for talking cock. Yes, a highly acclaimed Aristocrat, adept in the fields of deception, duplicity, ambiguity and division.

They'll have to be a lot of decent music, and it will have to be turned up pretty damned loud, to drown out the noise of these self satisfied nondescripts; as the Aristocracy continues……………………………
