Now people let me to bend your ear and direct you to the Soo Catwoman site where she's got something to say which is definitely worth a gander whether you know who she is already or not.
And that's it really except............
Let me take this opportunity to come clean about something, back in 1978 when I was a 14 year old soppy kid and going off to my first Stranglers gig, there was a great deal on my mind. You might think that being 14 and trying oh so hard to be a "punk" the thought that I might possibly meet a girl like Soo Catwoman or Siouxsie Sioux at my first punk outing would be something I'd been practicing in earnest for (for quite some time). But you'd be wrong cos I can vividly remember praying fervently prior to the gig for the Lord to protect me from Wolverhampton's versions of Soo Catwoman & Siouxsie Sioux. What I thought they'd do to me escapes me now (mores the pity). Anyway all I remember is that the thought of being gobbed on, bottled, trampled under foot and/or arrested on SUS on the way home were all preferable in comparison. "Oh I can smile about it now. But at the time it was terrible". Thanks Moz I couldn't have said it better myself.
