I had to laugh at the NME this week. Well that's what it's for, isn't it? It was sporting a pic of The Smiths on its cover and trying as always to glean some reflected cred. Things are getting mightily desperate at NME with only 6 months of life left as a weekly. They were puporting to be celebrating 25 years since the release of the "Queen is Dead", err after 3 and a half years of silence from Stephen Morrissey you'll have to do better than this NME. Long may Morrissey keep his back fairly and squarely turned upon them. Historical fact: Morrissey sold the NME. The NME never sold Morrissey.
