OK so I've spoken about Martian many times before. And so I need say no more than: Martian has loads of CD's & Vinyl (both new & second hand) collectables, badges, patches and.....guess what! I'VE BOUGHT STUFF FROM MARTIAN! Surely that should suffice! But you know people often ask me, they say "Hey slap head with your collection of 73,000 records, 52,000 CD's and four cassettes what do you buy when you go to these record shops?" Well I'm glad you asked that question I usually buy stuff like this:
Yeah I picked up this little baby at Martin Records in July, and you read it right, it was just 10p. It didn't stop me getting a bollocking off the Mrs. mind you. "What you bought that for, you've already got it on vinyl". She said. She had me banged to rights of course. But I said "Look, wait a minute you miserable old cow this copy has a full documented history". And it had. "Look at this receipt stuck inside my dear. It was bought by punter or punters unknown from the now defunct Virgin Mega Store Exeter on the 28th June 2004 for £2.49. Sold on to Martian. They tried to sell it for .99p, which was silly really cos every person in Exeter had already got a copy of Sparta FC; except for the bloke or blokess who'd just sold it 'em. And now in July 2010 I've bought it from the sale bin for the princely sum of 10 earth pence, see a full documented history. It must be worth at least 15p now". I felt like Arthur Negus I did. But it worked cos she let me keep it.

So let this be a lesson to you, you EBAY buying dullards! The bargains are out there waiting for you in your local independent record shops. SO WHAT THE F**K ARE YOU WAITING FOR! GET OUT THERE!
NB: Fopp Records, AKA HMV in disguise is also available on Exeter High Street. They do sell "some" music on vinyl and "some" music on CD. However. No purchases were made on my visit.
