"Liberty,
The National League of Fascist liberals with a small "l"
and the Death of the BBC"
OK, so there's no opening blurb in the FANZINE this Month. Well there is, but only a title. I went round to my good friend John Bigot's gaff to pick up the piece he'd written and he wasn't there. I went to see Jeff at the Newhampton Inn and he told me John had gone away because he owed his landlord two months rent. I then went to see his landlord, Mr Paidtosqueeze, and he told me John had paid him up to the end of the of September, and had told him he was going off to a Kibbutz for three weeks. Of course I know when John says he's going off to a Kibbutz it means he's gone down to his caravan just outside Pwhelli. But that leaves me empty handed on the opening blurb front. So I'm left here with only the title of his blurb. "Liberty, The National League of Fascist liberals with a small "l" and the Death of the BBC". It sounds great; I'll look forward to the court case cum early September.
A quick blog then. I spent most of July chalking up the gigs I failed to go to: Max Romeo, The Congos, Inna De Yard, Lee Scratch Perry; all at the Barbican. And also The Viceroys at Shoreditch. No money see. And without John no one to scrounge the KA$H off.
The rest of the time I spent scouring the internet. Checking emails. Ringing round. Wire tapping phones. Intercenpting mail. Rifling through bins. Constantly trying to find out the when and where of The Libertines are going to do their Reading warm up gig. Is it going to be HMV Forum? Ah bollocks I don't know.
Oh yeah and if anyone tells you they saw me in a pub in Penzance watching The Surgeons during July well...............don't believe the truth!
