Apology to Peter Doherty

April & May 2011 Issue 447

Unfortunately buoyed up by the brouhaha and slight anarchy of The Pigeon Detectives our kid found it necessary after the gig to open a sealed display unit in the foyer of the HMV Institute and remove a Peter Doherty poster. He was immediately accosted by a member of the HMV staff, but as instructed by myself, he immediately shouted "rape!" and was able to escape with his poster into the Brum night.

Now usually I would blame the parents, but in this case I think it's only right to give someone else a got. What I am unhappy about though is that when we returned to the HMV Institute for the Vaccines there were no posters advertising the Peter Doherty gig, this is regrettable for two reasons. ONE, people coming to the Institute may now be unaware that Pedro is playing there on May 14th, and TWO I wasn't able to bag one for myself after the gig. Either way I'm sorry, we'll "never ever do it again, er not until the next time" PS Don't it look smart on his bedroom wall now its all framed up and shit! And PPS You shouldn't have let him in the venue he's under 14! SORRY.
