Yes people it's time to rejoice.
Why do we commemorate the deathday of person rather than the birthday?
Yes I know that when you go to a funeral the priest makes a big thing about it being a celebration of a life and maybe that has its place, but shit, I don't want to celebrate a deathday after that. Life and light are everything. We can all too easily get sucked into "darkness" during the Winter months and all too easily waste time waiting for the tide to turn come Spring. Today is the day people (fuckin carpe diem), bollocks to waiting for the light and the new signs of Spring, bollocks waiting for organised religion determine when we should celebrate the rebirth - today is the day! As Lennon sang "don't just sit there with your cock in your hand, it won't get you nowhere won't make you a man" The time is now, we are living and breathing this moment together, as the prophet Marley said "make way for the positive day".
